چکیده
The problem of constructing a new class physically unclonable functions (PUF) based on controlled ring oscillator (CRO) has beeb solved. relevance the creation CROPUF is associated with active development physical cryptography used for purposes identifying electronic products and generating cryptographic keys. It shown that classical oscillators (ROPUF) are characterized by large hardware redundancy due to need implement number ROs, since each bit response requires an independent pair real ROs. At same time ROPUFs better statistical properties compared PUFs arbiter type do not require ideal symmetry identity implemented As alternative ROPUF, proposed, namely, CROPUF, which uses controlling frequency generated pulses without changing functionality structure oscillator. An important advantage CRO possibility implementing its basis set reaches 2 m , where stages oscillator, them determined submitted request. three structures proposed PUF, namely CROPUF1, CROPUF2 CROPUF3 considered. Their main advantages disadvantages shown, including in case two implementation options, programmed logic (FPGA) arbitrary (ASIC). basic option FPGA, considered less prone inter-chip and, more importantly, intra-chip dependence caused technological features production process. Practical studies were carried out modern FPGAs, evaluating performance characteristics. operability when programmable logic, as well high rates their characteristics, been experimentally confirmed.

Authentication Schemes based on Physically Unclonable Functions
In this project we investigate di erent hardware authentication schemes based on Physically Unclonable Functions. We start by analyzing the concepts of a fuzzy extractor and a secure sketch from an information-theoretic perspective. We then present a hardware implementation of a fuzzy extractor which uses the code o set construction with BCH codes. Finally, we propose a new cryptographic protoc...
متن کاملMemory Leakage-Resilient Encryption Based on Physically Unclonable Functions
Physical attacks on cryptographic implementations and devices have become crucial. In this context a recent line of research on a new class of side-channel attacks, called memory attacks, has received increasingly more attention. These attacks allow an adversary to measure a significant fraction of secret key bits directly from memory, independent of any computational side-channels. Physically ...
متن کاملOn Improving Reliability of SRAM-Based Physically Unclonable Functions
Physically unclonable functions (PUFs) have been touted for their inherent resistance to invasive attacks and low cost in providing a hardware root of trust for various security applications. SRAM PUFs in particular are popular in industry for key/ID generation. Due to intrinsic process variations, SRAM cells, ideally, tend to have the same start-up behavior. SRAM PUFs exploit this start-up beh...
متن کاملA Fourier Analysis Based Attack against Physically Unclonable Functions
Electronic payment systems have leveraged the advantages offered by the RFID technology, whose security is promised to be improved by applying the notion of Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs). Along with the evolution of PUFs, numerous successful attacks against PUFs have been proposed in the literature. Among these are machine learning (ML) attacks, ranging from heuristic approaches to pro...
متن کاملA Discussion on the Properties of Physically Unclonable Functions
The increasing interest in physically unclonable functions or PUFs and in PUF-based security applications desires a concrete and as formal as possible description of what a PUF is and which properties can be naturally expected. However, the wide and growing variety of different PUF and PUF-like proposals makes such a formalization attempt a nontrivial task. In this work we provide a starting po...
